New Music Hartford announces a score call for its Spring 2010 concert. The concert will feature Hartford guitarist Yovianna Garcia and others TBA
We are looking for new works for solo guitar in the sixth-tone tuning used in Nolan Stolz’s “Fox-ey.”
Here is a video of "Fox-ey," which uses a third-tone scale (made possible by the sixth-tone tuning): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELmAOXwQtcU
The tuning and notation is explained in the score: www.nolanstolz.com/StolzFoxey.pdf
Submissions should be notated in the three-stave system used in “Fox-ey.”
Questions about the tuning and/or notation may be addressed to nolan@nolanstolz.com or to yovi_ga@yahoo.com.
Please do not submit works in standard tuning
Please send a .pdf of the score to NewMusicHartford@nolanstolz.com by 9PM EST February 9, 2010
